Hi, I'm Samantha. I founded Adventures with Autism after working in the field for over 10 years and realizing that there was a need for quality Applied Behavior Analysis services in the Salem area. My goal with AWA is to focus on adapted physical activity for children with autism, teaching social skills, and offering parental support within the community. I am currently BCBA, and LBA certified. I look forward to treating your children as part of the Adventures with Autism family.
Hello, I'm Beth - a Director of Administration with over 15 years in the field. After earning a B.S from California State University, I began to hone my skills towards office management. My body of work includes hiring talent, maintaining compliance, and overseeing corporate spending. I have devoted a decade to building my budgetary portfolio and have a proven track record when it comes to organizing company finances. When I'm not working you can find me buried in a book or hiking with my dog.
Hi, I’m Eric. I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA). I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce. I also have my Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership form University of Texas Arlington. I have over 20 years of experience in the field of Behavior Analysis, focusing on its application in the areas of childhood special needs (including Autism, emotional behavior disorders) and school-wide behavior support systems (PBIS) . I take great pleasure in working with children and families to help them reach their utmost potential.
My name is Rachel. I am a mother of two and the question “what do you want to be when you grow up?” was finally answered when I began working for Adventures with Autism in 2018. I always knew that I was born to be a mother, a safe place, a protector, and a teacher. And I find my passion every single day that I work with these children. Within my first year here, I advanced within the company to become a Lead Behavior Technician. In September of 2020 I became a Site Coordinator, handling scheduling, purchasing and overall oversight of the center. In August of 2021 I became a Human Resources Administrator. My focus is interviewing and hiring exemplary staff, creating and maintaining personnel records, company purchasing, and assisting in all policy and procedure creation and implementation.
I've enjoyed growing with this company, getting to know each of the families we serve, and being a part of such an incredible culture and movement.

Hello, my name is Hana and I have been advocating for the autism community since 2015. I first began my journey as a preschool teacher while earning an A.S. in Early Childhood Education from Monterey Peninsula College. Then, I earned a B.S. in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Fullerton while gaining experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). I continued to follow my dream by earning a M.Ed in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from University of Hawaii at Manoa to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I fell in love with the autism community after learning that everyone is a unique individual and felt passionate about supporting neurodiversity. My other passion outside of AwA is to make meaningful memories hanging out with my (very) wild and silly child.
Hi, my name is Alyssa and I have been working with children for the last 9 years. I have two daughters and always knew that I wanted to work with children. I have found my passion working here at Adventures with Autism.

Hello, my name is Emily! I graduated from NCU with a bachelor’s in psychology and had no idea what I wanted to do as a career. When my husband and I moved to Ohio in 2017, I stumbled upon a position at a school for children in autism and it changed the course of my life. While working there, still not knowing what I wanted to do as a career, I told a friend that I simply want to hang out with kids with autism every day. Fast forward to today and that is exactly what I get to do while guiding them and giving them the tools, they need to live to their fullest potential. I finally found my dream job!
Hi! My name is Giselle. I recently moved to Oregon from Washington State where I studied at Central Washington University. Hi, my name is Tiffany Barrett and I have graduated from Corban University with a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Counseling and Clinical Psychology. I will be starting my master’s degree in the fall of 2019. Hello, my name is Luisa. Born in California, raised in Oregon. Really glad my parents moved here because I enjoy the cold weather and all the trees! I spend my free time crocheting, reading, or being outside searching for activities. Growing up I have always known that I wanted to work with kids, so thankfully I found my way into AwA! I am passionate about what I do, and I love working with the kiddos. Watching them learn and grow every day is the best part about this job.
My name is Tra’von, and I like to describe myself as an optimistic upbeat individual. I enjoy writing, cuddling up with my pup, and spending quality time with my family. Growing up I have always known I wanted to work with children, but never knew exactly in what way. With learning that my nephew falls on the spectrum at a very young age I have become extremely passionate with not only guiding him with seeing the world in a different perspective but helping the world around us see those who fall on the spectrum in a different perspective. Adventures with Autism is the perfect opportunity for me. I finally feel like I have found not just a job, but. a career that I am truly passionate about.
Hi my name is Haley! This is my first year in ABA but I have worked with children for a couple years now. I was drawn to AWA because of how supportive and over all welcoming the company is, I knew I wanted to work with a company that valued me as a individual but most importantly who puts children first and that’s exactly why I decided to start my career here. I couldn’t be more proud to be apart of not just helping children but shaping lives and setting them up for success in their future.
Hi, I am Amy. I am an Oregon transplant from Kansas. ;) After two decades of jobs, I loved (French teacher and missionary), I stepped into a new challenge as a behavior technician. Learning from my non-verbal niece reignited my desire to work with children with special needs, and I found ABA to be a good fit for that. My passion is helping people reach their fullest potential and at AwA, I get to do that every day! The supportive staff team environment helps each of us provide the best services we can to our clients and was a huge bonus for me.
Hi, my name is Cole! I graduated from California State University Sacramento with a Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2019 and spent 2 years working in an electrophysiology lab under a Neuroscience instructor at Sacramento State. I gravitated towards AWA because I felt my previous work wasn’t as fulfilling as I wanted it to be. The work this company does has certainly filled that gap. AWA not only values their workers, but greatly values and respects the children they work with. Working at AWA has shown me a new way of thinking about how we help those in need, and I am glad I got the chance to start a career in this field with this company.
Hi, my name is Krystal! I was born and raised in Oregon and knew even at an early age that I wanted to help people. As the eldest of four and from my outdoor school counselor experience I knew I enjoyed working with kids. I started my caregiving career working with elderly memory care clients, and then began working with individuals who have disabilities. I was intrigued when I learned about the Behavior Technician position, and I am so glad to have joined the Adventures with Autism team. The hard work we do as a team is done with support and kindness, and as a team we enjoy watching “our” kids grow and flourish.
Hi my name’s Ashley! I currently attend the University of Oregon where I’m majoring in special education and family and human services. In my free time I enjoy being active, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with my family. I plan to pursue a career as a special education teacher or a BCBA! If you can be anything in this world be kind!

Hi, my name is Max! I graduated from Western Oregon University with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre arts in 2020. I have always wanted to help people, specifically children, as I know how hard it can be to go through an education system that is not set up for those of us who are neurodivergent. My favorite part of this job is watching the kiddos grow and become more independent.
